SWTCGirlz's venture into the world of micro-blogging

Did you know that the SWTCGirlz have a Twitter account that we're continually playing around with? Our micro-blogging adventures may not always be about yarn and new patterns, but we can always offer a quick laugh or sneak peek into the various trade shows we participate in.

Interweave Crochet: Tofutsies Scarf by Doris Chan

When I visited with Doris Chan at TNNA, she told me to watch for her new Tofutsies scarf in Interweave Crochet. WOW... love this idea!  Grab a ball of Tofutsies and your copy of this fun magazine.

Freeform Style Booksigning at TNNA

Hi everyone! Kat here - I've told Jonelle to let me manage the blog for today so I could share some fun info about her new book, Freeform Style (co-authored by the fabulous Prudence Mapstone.)

Freeform Style by Prudence Mapstone & Jonelle Raffino

As you all know, we've just recently returned from the June TNNA in Columbus, OH. At the show, Jonelle did a book signing in the Unicorn booth. Although our own booth was busy, I took a quick minute to sneak away to take a picture of the line. It went around over 1/2 of the total booth. It was quite a success!

Freeform Style is now available for purchase internationally, so make sure to look for it at your favorite LYS. You can also click here to see some of the images and information about the book.

Sophia's Hat

Sophia finished her first hat. Knit in SWTC Tranquility, she designed a rolled brim , all knit hat in bright colors. It turned out fabulous. Shes really excited to have finished in time to send it to Anne Modesitt for her book on 1000 Hats.

The power of knitting runs deep in this child.

After the show.....

We finished TNNA and had a blast. The show was exhilarating as always and we had a chance to meet up with so many of our knitter friends again this year.  Everyone loved Dream Big which was fun to see and we picked up a new yarn that we are racing to bring to market. (watch for breaking news).

Other news........ we got the green light on SOCKS A LA CARTE 2: Toes Up. I am so excited to get going on it that I can't stand it. I have to get a bunch of work done ahead and get started. I am seeing designs in my sleep.

Kat and I are in Napa for a few days before we get back to Phoenix and dig in. Its great to be a telecommuter! Today we spent the morning working on all of our notes from show and then visiting with a new designer from San Francisco who stopped by with some gorgeous projects.  Her BF is a talented musician who accompanied her and shared some fabulous bluegrass tunes with us. So picture a beautiful Napa day, a light breeze, glass of wine, a pile of yarn, bluegrass music and then..... this....

Being Omni-present

Kat works along side me at SWTC - so you can imagine that we already spend enough time together. I fell out of my chair laughing when i saw this from her over the weekend. Evidently, she popped open Facebook and found me all over her page!

I call it great marketing. She called it something I won't repeat!
